Strengthening Thai-Chinese Relations: Payap University Joins Celebration Hosted by the Chinese Consulate-General in Chiang Mai 增进中泰友好关系：清迈西北大学出席中国驻清迈总领事馆主办的庆祝活动 On July 1, 2025, a grand reception was hosted by the Chinese Consulate-General in Chiang Mai to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. The event brought together dignitaries, high-ranking Thai officials, and academic leaders to commemorate the strong and enduring ties between the two nations. The event commenced with a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony jointly led by Mr. Chen Haiping, Consul General of China in Chiang Mai, and Mr. Nirat Pongsitthaworn, Governor of Chiang Mai Province. This ceremonial gesture highlighted the close and lasting friendship between China and Thailand, and represented a shared commitment to continued cooperation in cultural, diplomatic, and educational domains.
